The opening weeks of the season in December can offer some of the finest skiing experienced during the whole season. The snow is fresh and cold, and the snow making equipment will have been in operation for two months to give a good base. In a good year there is powder galore, and in a bad year they are nice hard-packed fresh powdery pistes. And the pistes are relatively empty.
Please don’t take my word for this, please look at the photos from last December showing exceptional conditions. We understand there is there other attractions in December but why not go for long weekend with friends or family.
