Meribel in the summer
enjoy the mountains in a new light
Heaven for bikes
Whether you’re into road biking or downhill, Meribel in the summer is the place to be. The Tour de France frequently has a stage at Col de la Loze, and you too can enjoy that legendary climb.
If downhill is your thing, you’ll be amazed at the infrastructure Meribel has put in place. With multiple lifts equipped to handle bikes and 11 downhill pistes totalling 35km, you’re bound to have a great time.
Golfing In Meribel
Meribel has an absolutely stunning 18-hole golf course, bunkers and fairways appear where you have skied in winter. The course is a great test of golf and is well maintained.
On the first hole you need to avoid trees on the left, the lake in the middle and the Altiport runway on the right. The views are outstanding.
There are competitions most weekends, which you are welcome to enter. They are great value and the food served is delicious; a very friendly affair.
Hiking around meribel
Meribel has fantastic hiking for all levels, from an easy stroll around Lac de Tueda to full-day hikes up to the Refuge du Saut, or even more technically challenging hikes along the astounding Col du Fruit at over 2500m.
The nature reserve that surrounds Meribel is home to marmots and deer of course, but also to the endangered black grouse and even golden eagles; there really is something for everyone!
