In summer, you can get back to nature without gliding effortlessly – or tumbling gracelessly – down a black run. Breathe in breathtaking views over snow-capped mountains. Hike along mountain paths finding chamomile and purple Alpine flowers.

Wander through lush pastures in which cattle bells fill the air. Watch the setting sun make the mountains blush a bridal pink. And when you’re done with that, there’s mountain biking, golf, white water rafting, canyoning, rock climbing, via ferrata, clay pigeon shooting, tennis, bowling, riding, and skating.

Not to mention a fitness centre and swimming (for the brave) in an alpine lake. Think refuge from modern madness. Somewhere boasting solitude, silence and serenity — and air that’s clear. A place where mountain highs are the big lure.
